Having worked with Helen & her team for many years we were excited to work with A’Courts to create a fresh new website. The business has substantially expanded, offering beauty treatments, massages and body rituals. A’Courts wanted the new website to showcase these new services as well as the traditional hair treatments. They also wanted the website to talk about their switch to using Davines, a provider of ethical hair and beauty products certified to high environmental and social standards.

We toured the new premises in Christchurch and worked with Event Horizon Media who were commissioned to produce images and videos for the new website. A’Courts had also decided on a new logo and colour scheme. We worked with Graphfix to create a wonderful bespoke theme design for WordPress. The design incorporates motifs from the new logo (a heart made from loose tied hair) and from the salon fittings (Moroccan tiles).

The site is built with WordPress which makes it easy to edit, and with Foundation which ensures it adapts perfectly on all screen sizes. We added custom post types for staff and testimonials so that Helen can easily keep those updated.

We also hook into A’Courts busy Facebook feed, so that promotions, news and gallery pictures can be pulled straight into the WordPress dashboard as prefiltered posts. This means several different sections of the homepage, sidebar and footer can be individually updated directly from Facebook, without staff needing the WordPress dashboard at all.
