Website Front End

Last month we delivered a large scale web development project for Shears Transport based at Bournemouth Airport Aviation Park.

Shears asked us to modernise their Warehouse Management System database and improve its speed and security. We ported the data from Microsoft Access to SQL Server and rebuilt the web front end using Microsoft ASP.NET.  Because Shears were in the process of rebranding we skinned the new web front end with the new logo, typeface and colour scheme. We also had millions of database records to migrate.

Alongside Shears warehouse team we drew up a detailed and comprehensive testing plan and ran and reran the data migration script many times to ensure the actual “go-live” weekend ran smoothly.

Customers can now log in and view their warehouse inventory using a faster, more secure and easier to use portal. The portal is 100% integrated with Shears internal database systems.
