During the Coronavirus lockdown we worked with startup simianclimb.com to produce and finish a major web application project designed for indoor climbers. Climbers can rate, flag and share their favourite routes at selected UK climbing centres. While currently featuring a selection of Dorset-based climbing centres, the intention is for the app to be rolled out nationally.
Of course, climbing centres, like gyms and swimming pools, were locked down through till 25th July 2020, but when the big reopen happened we absolutely had to be ready. In fact, the app was finished mid-July and the second half of the month was devoted to a comprehensive testing programme.
The application was built with ASP.NET MVC with database support in Microsoft Azure.
