Customer Portal

Our latest successfully delivered project is a customer portal for Ferndown small business MP Calibration. MP Calibration have an online portal which allows their customers to log calibration data on precision instruments, view calibration certificates and get alerts when recalibrations are due.

Their old customer portal had been running for 10 years, and a number of insecurities had been identified in the PHP code.

We created a modern ASP.NET based web front-end running on a SQL Server database. This solution completely replaces their old PHP software.

Since the project brief was to secure and modernise the platform, a radical overhaul of the front-end look and feel wasn’t required. Indeed, their existing customers liked and relied on the familiar screens to check their calibration data. But we took the opportunity to adapt the existing look-and-feel to make it work on smartphones and tablets.

A huge part of the project was the successful migration of their old database and over 60,000 certificates to our new platform.
