Custom WordPress Theme

Inkshed Design Studio is run by Becks Neale, a British Designer & Brand Consultant. She works with purpose led individuals and small/medium businesses to inspire and empower them to turn their passion into their brand. Her design background includes over eleven years within the fields of licensed brand, private label, product and packaging design, illustration and brand styling, making her the destination for bespoke design that authentically tells your story.

Our instruction from Becks was turn her own design mockups into a unique and highly custom WordPress theme. She had already tried a sitebuilder (Weebly) and a $50 WordPress theme and – we think – had created some quite nice websites of her own that way. But, man, those solutions can be hard work to get looking good. And impossible to get exactly what you want. We were able to promise Becks we would build her exact design to order as a custom WordPress theme.

As a brand consultant, unsuprisingly, Becks was a tremendously organised client in her own right. She had over a dozen beautifully crafted blog articles ready to go. Four complementary typefaces were chosen and Becks had already made sure they were available as Google fonts. For the colour palette all we had to do was lift her colours from the documentation and drop them into theme files. Design assets like images all arrived on time and perfectly sized. Needless to say, this was an unusual project for us, and very satisfying to work on.
