“Can you convert my site to WordPress?”
Sometimes a brand new customer calls us to say they’ve had a website created (by someone else) and they love it. How it looks. How it performs in Google. How the designer has ensured that it looks perfect on any size of device. Only there’s no content management system and now the designer’s disappeared and they need to edit it.
More than that, they want to start blogging, because that will help their marketing. They’ve heard of WordPress and they figure that’s exactly what they need.
Sometimes you see this problem gets solved by setting up a separate blog on a different platform (usually free) and linking out to that. That sort of works but it’s a horrible solution on several levels.
Much better to convert the static design (that everyone loves) to a custom WordPress theme. It isn’t so difficult. That’s exactly what we recently did for Superior Motorcycle Experiences. Learn more about that project here.
